Maxis Advisors Adds Two Project Managers

Maxis Advisors is proud to announce the addition of two new Project Managers, Lauren Berry and Taylor Murray, both of whom will be key players in managing projects across the United States as the firm looks toward a busy 2021.

In their new roles, both Lauren and Taylor will closely partner with Maxis clients on site selection, incentive negotiation, and compliance assistance in order to increase ROI and reduce costs associated with capital investments, expansion, relocation, and reshoring.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in government from Patrick Henry College, Lauren began her career in economic development at the local level at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber in Ohio.  This tenure provided a breadth of experience working with stakeholders on projects of all sizes, and during her five years at the Chamber, Berry was responsible for over $185M of investment and the creation and retention of over 2,500 jobs.  She has earned the Ohio Certified Economic Developer (Ohio CED) credential and served as a Northeast Area Director and Marketing and Communications Chair of the Ohio Economic Development Association.  Lauren is located in our Charlotte office.

“We are extremely excited to have Lauren Berry and Taylor Murray join the Maxis Advisors Project Management team,” said Andi Brownell, Senior Project Manager and Director of Project Management at Maxis.  “Lauren is a seasoned, well-respected economic developer who brings great experience to our team.  She has an eye for detail and a strong commitment to customer service that our clients and the communities we work with will appreciate.”

Before joining Maxis Advisors, Taylor served on the staff of two gubernatorial administrations in the state of Georgia. In the Governor’s Office, Taylor held the Special Assistant role to Governor Nathan Deal and Governor Brian Kemp. Most recently, he had the role of Policy Advisor, helping to cultivate Georgia’s top-rated business environment through legislative initiatives in the areas of economic development and tax policy. In this role, he took part in numerous economic development announcements that brought quality jobs to communities in all aspects of the state. Taylor received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Georgia and now serves on the UGA School of Public and International Affairs Board of Directors.  Taylor is located in our Atlanta office.

“Taylor has a passion for economic development and is eager to use his skills to help our clients make a positive economic impact,” said Brownell.  “He brings with him a unique perspective on how to build strong relationships between our clients and the state and local communities while overcoming project-related obstacles and maximizing incentive opportunities for our clients.  Both Lauren and Taylor exude the qualities that we were looking for as we grow our team.  We are excited and proud to have them on board!”

Maxis Advisors played a critical role in helping us navigate the complexities of selecting a location and securing incentives for our first production facility. From the beginning, they understood our priorities and provided guidance to ensure our final location supported our construction timeline, Department of Energy grant goals, and long-term operational needs. Most importantly, their team’s strong relationships with states and communities matches our organization’s culture and values, and we are grateful to have them as a partner.
