Brittany Young Joins Maxis Advisors as Managing Director
Atlanta, Ga. (Oct. 24, 2022) – Maxis Advisors, a location analysis and incentives advisory firm, today announced that Brittany Young has joined the company as Managing Director, based in the Atlanta office. Young most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), where she managed operations, implemented strategy, and ensured continuity and mission across all divisions of the department, including Georgia’s international representatives in 12 strategic global markets.

Young brings a unique level of expertise to her role at Maxis Advisors, after spending more than 16 years in economic development with GDEcD, utility partners, chambers of commerce, and a local welcome center early in her career. While serving as COO, Young stepped in as Deputy Commissioner of GDEcD’s Global Commerce division, where she managed the department’s team that focused on job creation and investment through locating new and expanding businesses, as well as growing small businesses.
During her career, she has lent her expertise to notable recruitment projects such as Amazon, ASOS, Denkai America, Hyundai Motor Group, and YKK AP. In 2018, Young was recognized as a Top 50 Economic Developer in the U.S.
Young is a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, a board member for the Georgia Academy, and sits on the Small Business Compliance Advisory Panel for Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD). Young is a graduate of the University of North Georgia, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She resides in Metro Atlanta.
Earlier this year, it was announced that commercial real estate services firm Foundry Commercial acquired Maxis Advisors. Marking Foundry’s 11th M&A transaction since launching in 2007, the acquisition folded in an additional eight associates into the Foundry Commercial team, interspersed throughout existing Charlotte, Atlanta, and Orlando offices.
